Bill and Nell's Lake Despair Lodge 
 
Hey! We're Bill and Nell, a hard-working and fun couple who love to meet our new guests and reunite with our annual guests. 
 
We're lifetime residents of the Rainy River District and hope to provide you with the best time here doing what you love! 
 
Whether that's fishing, hunting, relaxing, or being out on the water. We have it all here at Lake Despair. 
 
Lake Despair Lodge is situated on a chain of three lakes. From Lake Despair through Mile River into Footprint Lake then through the picturesque Jackfish Narrows into Jackfish Lake. 
 
 

 

Travelling from International Falls, Minnesota or Fort Frances, Ontario, turn west on Hwy. 11/71 for 10miles then turn right onto Hwy. 613 North, and follow the scenic paved road to the very end (18miles).

Total distance from International Falls to Lake Despair Lodge is 28miles.
